Sunny Beach

Sunny Beach is a Bulgarian resort (with over 200 hotels) located between the northern and southern part of the Bulgarian Black Sea Riviera in the Municipality of Nessebar. It is situated in a gulf forming a crescent, facing east. Its rapid growth makes it the largest resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The number of hotel beds in the resort amounts to more than 300,000. In its south part, the complex is now connected to the new part of Nessebar.

Bourgas International Airport is located 36 km from Sunny Beach and the sea port and the railway station of Burgas - 40 km away. There are regular connections to the regional centers Bourgas (40 km) and Varna (90 km). There is ecologically clean transport in the resort  - mini-trains and bicycles.

The climate is characterized by 1700 hours of sunshine from May to October. The resort has a beach about 10 km long and 30-60 m wide, fine golden sand and natural sand dunes (including 16 species of rare plants), flat sandy sea bottom. There is a park built in the resort.

It offers many opportunities for sports and entertainment: surfing, water skiing, sailing, tennis clubs, horse riding, bowling, indoor and outdoor pools, mini-golf. There are many restaurants, shops and stalls (over 15,000). The complex hosts the international pop song festival Golden Orpheus, days of symphonic music, part of the International Folklore Festival, fashion shows, various beach competitions.
