Lozenets

lozenec-1Lozenets is a typical small fishing village providing fresh fish and fish specialties for the local restaurants. The proximity of Strandzha mountain makes it even more exciting and unique vacation spot. You do not need to choose whether to go to the mountains or to the sea, just visit Lozenets.

 

lozenec-2The village is a small, neat and cozy one. The two and three-storey houses are predominant here converted into small hotels or comfortable tourist rooms. It is dotted with abundant greenery. Here the mountain and sea climate are combined. Measurements show that the seawater in the resort village is the purest on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, and the present beneficial micronutrients, such as magnesium, calcium, iodine, bromine and the like are highly valued by experts from around the world.

 

In Lozenets is "St. George" Church - built entirely by donations. Only 1 km northwest of Lozenets just before the beautiful beach of the former camping Coral is the Bear Hole cave surrounded by two paradise beaches. The village got its name many years ago by ancient fishermen who caught a couple of seals in their nets. The following sites van be viewed near the resort village: - Strandzha National Park – the Rivers of Veleka, Karaagach,Dyavolska / Devil/ - Ropotamo Nature Reserve - located only 15 km from Lozenets. There are boat trips available for tourists along the river every day of the week.
