Gramatikovo
Gramatikovo is the largest village in the territory of Strandzha Nature Park and it is located 25 km from the municipal center of Malko Tarnovo. It is situated on a high ridge about 2 km from Veleka River, overlooking the Turkish Strandzha and Rezovsko crest. The surroundings are known since antiquity for their rich ore deposits, with the Thracian tombs and mounds, traces of an old Roman road and ancient settlements. Near the village there are many interesting routes, as Gramatikovo is not only suitable for a year-round eco holiday, but it is also one of the favorite places for hunters and fishermen.
In the center of the village you will find the church "St. 40 Martyrs ", which is a monument of culture. In the area of Gramatikovo many chapels were built, among them the most interesting is the "St. Trinity" built in a natural cave.
Near the village, in the area Kachul along Veleka river you can see the Arboretum stretched on an area of about 30 decares. It contains a rich collection of European, Asian and North American flora species.
The village's feast is celebrated on the day of St. Elias on 20 July.
