Varvara
Varvara is a small village located on the Black Sea at the foot of Strandza Mount called Papiya, where there are traces of a castle dating from the late antiquity and medieval times.
Varvara is primarily known for its beautiful sea. Although itonly has one single sand coastline, in that, a quite small one, it is one of the most beautiful ones on the Black Sea. Because of its remoteness and not so big popularity, the village has managed to preserve its pure nature and crystal waters. With its low prices for accommodation in traditional Bulgarian houses with vines in the front yard, it is a favorite place for artists and for those seeking peace and quiet. The village is surrounded by rocky coves suitable for underwater fishing and diving. Another convenience is Varvara mountains. Merging Strandzha Mountains to the Black Sea makes Varvara a unique place in Bulgaria where you can enjoy a pure virgin beach on hot summer days or hike in the mountains in the cloudy and cool spring and autumn months.
