Sinemorets
Sinemorets is located in the eastern part of Strandzha Mountain, on the beach. It is this location that makes it a very wild and scenic place we would recommend you to enjoy. North of Sinemorets is located Veleka river mouth with a wide gulf in front. The estuary forms a beautiful sand bar at the mouth, which represents the beach called "Kosata" /”Hair”/ or the north beach of Sinemorets. Northeast of the village are located "Saint Yani" Bay with a fishing harbor, and the rocky place called "Korabite" /”The Ships”/ about which goes a legend that old and useless ships used to be broken there in the past. East of Sinemorets, in the upper part of the peninsula, stands the place called “Polyanite” /"The Meadows"/with numerous newly built hotels. Further to the south is the "Butamyata" (Potamia) Gulf - the south beach of Sinemorets. South of Butamyata you can reach the bay with a beautiful beach called “Lipite” /"Linden"/, the "Canyon" area where are the characteristic rock formations called "The Rock of Sisyphus" and "The Cave of Pigeons" and "The Separated Rock", Listi Bay and Listi Gulf. The whole area to the south of Sinemorets up to Rezovo is a protected area called "Silistar." The area is coastal, wetland with preserved typical dense forest. The dunes and rocks around Silistar shelter rare and protected nesting birds.
