Shabla

Shabla is a town in northeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Dobrich District between Balchik and the Romanian border, and it is neighboring the town of Kavarna. The town is an administrative center of the municipality of Shabla. The coastline of the municipality is a combination of sandy beaches to the north and rock formations south of Cape Shabla - the most eastern point of Bulgaria.

The beaches of the municipality are composed of fine, powdery sand and broken shells. Along with still preserved sand dunes and thermal mineral springs, the beaches attract many Bulgarian and foreign tourists.

Typical of the municipality is the presence of salt lake lagoon "Shabla Tuzla" with its unique mud in terms of composition / about 230 thousand tons /.

The three freshwater lakes Shabla-Ezeretz-Durankulak have a wide variety of rare occurring species of flora and fauna.
